Abraham Lincoln seems like a really awesome person! I heard one time he was in a big, big meeting called the Civil War. That's when some people in our country were fighting with other people about important things, like freedom. Mr. Lincoln, he wanted everyone to be free and happy, so he worked really hard to stop the fighting.

I also heard that he told a story about a man who chopped down a cherry tree when he was a kid. Even though the man did something wrong, he told the truth, and that's why Abraham Lincoln liked the story. Telling the truth is important, my mom says.

I think being in the White House must have been really fun and exciting. I wonder if there were secret passages or cool rooms in there. And he got to meet lots of important people too!

I want to be a good leader like Abraham Lincoln too, by being kind, telling the truth, and helping people. Maybe I'll visit the White House someday and learn even more about him!
